How Can I Help Someone?

If you suspect domestic violence or abuse

Do:

  • Ask if something is wrong.
  • Express concern
  • Listen and validate
  • Support their decision
  • Refer to a CRA Advocate

Don’t:

  • Wait for him or her to come to you.
  • Judge or blame
  • Pressure him or her
  • Give advice
  • Place conditions on your support

Call our 24/7 Crisis Line, 800-261-7233 to speak with an advocate.
